Summary: If you like movies and you say that you've never heard of this franchise, you are a filthy liar. That, or you're just new to this. Whatever works. Either way, THIS is how you do a robot apocalypse...mostly, anyways.

History: In 1997, Cyberdyne Systems launched Skynet, a massive supercomputer that would regulate the U.S.A.'s nuclear weapons. Alas, it quickly grew sentient, and decided that mankind was its own worst enemy, especially when they hurriedly tried to shut it down. Soon, Skynet set off a nuclear holocaust that would come to be known as "Judgement Day". Afterwards, it created an army of varied and deadly robots to kill off the surviving humans. It even mastered the ability to send its minions into the past so that they could get rid of that pesky John Connor and his resistance team.

Notable Kills: See Final Fate.

Final Fate: Every time a Terminator is sent to kill in the past, something goes wrong. Either mother Sarah Connor beats them, a good Terminator screws it all up, etc. And yes, we're aware that the timelines have been going out of control in the franchise, so we're just going to casually ignore that one point where Skynet killed John and made him into a T-1000 rip-off. What even happened in 2015, anyhow? Must have been a collective hallucination.

Powers/Abilities: All Terminators have exceptional combat prowess and durability, but they all have something unique. The T-1800s are exceptional learning bots, the T-1000 is made of a liquid metal that allows for easy shapeshifting, the T-X can hack into its own kind, and so on.

Weakness: Lots of firepower. Though the T-1000 can only be harmed by extreme heat (hence his demise at either molten liquid or acid).

Scariness Factor: 4.5-Skynet's mechanizations are everything we fear about the robotic menace that science has the potential to unleash. While some robots are cool and great to have around (so long as someone can reprogram them), the rest are cold unfeeling killers that make mincemeat of anything. The worst in our opinion is the T-1000, a nigh-invulnerable juggernaut with a perpetual stare and a form of its own choosing. It's so powerful that Skynet can’t mass-produce it out of pure FEAR.

Trivia: -The baffling alternate timelines from "Salvation" and "Genisys" were the results of failed attempts to start new trilogies. And really, it shows.

-The whole franchise began when James Cameron had a sickness-induced nightmare about a metallic being dragging itself out of a fire while holding kitchen knives.

Rulers? I guess Skynet wishes she had friends after all.

When Terminators trip balls.

As drawn by a fourth grader.

Remember when the first draft of the script had a guy fuse with a fire hydrant due to this time travel process?

You're right. It's only the sequel all fans consider canon.

"Let's see. Dark skies, laser fire, me with my gun...typical sunday."

The face of death incarnate.

Please, no "Battle of the Sexes" jokes.

"Wading through the corpses of our foes and shooting all survivors...typical Tuesday."

Turns out, T-800s take plane rides very seriously.

Skynet can be such a show-off.

As one might guess, Skynet's giant robot phase was rife with strife for the humans.

"My dick! Where did my dick go?! Who cares about my humanity! Where's my dick?!"
The franchise, in a nutshell, at this point.

"Explosions, frantic running, Hunter Killers everywhere...must be Casual Friday, this time."

"Skin...falling off! Acting...going Shatner!"
Spoilers, much?

Skynet's first draft was...uncomfortable, for several reasons.

Sarah Conner! What's wrong with your face?!

People in the background...wake up!

You can panic now.

"Dark skin detected. Must destroy."

"No girls allowed?! I'll show them!"

And then they kiss...before realizing they come from the same assembly line.

Two and a Half Men. Sorry for the pun.

And it looks like Skynet had a motorcycle phase, as well. How old is she again?

"Bam! End of franchise! Could have ended it with a few more of us planes!"
When in doubt, just reset a franchise. THAT won't backfire, right?

Not sure if this is cute or even worse than a robotic skull staring me in the face.

"Compare me to James Spader ONE more time..."

Directed by Michael Bay.

This is indimidating and all, but wait until bugs hit his glasses.

He's so advanced that he can replicate scenes of the film on his body.

Nice, but wait until the recoil destroys that wrist of yours.

A torso with a view joke taken too far.

"Am I really that fat?"

Cue the deaths of every boner in the audience.

"As soon as we get it neutered, we can keep it!"

Arnold suffers the fate of Grand Moff Tarkin and Kylo Ren at the same time.

How to make a previously terrifying character flax? Pander to China!

Skynet, your choice of hologram preachers is getting annoying!
Frank Castle? Is that you?

Terminator 1? This poster saw the rest of the sequels coming, I guess.

The 80s had a field day trying to forget this sight.

Why can't other Terminators remember to bring their plasma gun to the past?!

A soul of silicon, but a soul was in there, nontheless.

HOLY SHRIMP! What's wrong with those teeth on the skull?!

"Hey, guys, am I late to the revolution?"

It was a this moment the T-X knew...she f$#%ed up.

He started to scream in terror when it started giving him wet willies.

Another old phase of Skynet. The 90s phase.

After four movies, THIS is what we get of Skynet?! Show some more effort next time!
So much for that twist.

Arnold's a bit mad at what happened in Salvation, as seen here.

"Tomatoes! Rotten tomatoes everywhere! THE SCORE IS TEARING ME APART!"
